Lilly Pilly Beaker – Pair

Perfect for a gin and tonic on a hot afternoon or any other cool drink, these beakers feel beautiful to wrap your hands around! These were great fun to make. I loved experimenting with the dark clay and pressing the leaves in while the clay was wet. I paint on a layer of white slip and when it is dry the flowers are drawn using sgraffito (scratching through the white layer to show the dark clay underneath) The raw unglazed clay on the outside gives a lovely texture and feeling.
