Biography engraver: Cornelis Brouwer (1733-1803) was an engraver active in the Northern Netherlands in the late 18th century; active in Amsterdam from 1765. Worked for Ploos van Amstel (q.v.) since 1775. Biography artist: Jan Bulthuis (1750-1801) was a Dutch draftsman and painter. Christian Henning (1741-1822) was a Dutch artist who mainly painted birds and has signed. He also painted watercolours and etched. Henning was involved in the wallpaper factory in Hoorn and shortly after his return to Haarlem worked as a decoration painter for the Amsterdam Theatre. .
